One of the most up-and-down college careers that Texas A&M football fans have followed in quite some time is taking another turn.

Denver Harris, former 5-star signee for Texas A&M football, enters transfer portal for 3rd time

Texas A&M football fans will always look back on the 2022 signing class with a mixture of fond memories and regret. Things seemed so bright and optimistic at that point— down the stretch of that year, it seemed like the Aggies were picking up big time commitments left and right, and they formed the basis for the best recruiting class, statistically, of all time.

That's why it's such a bitter pill to swallow that only a few of those players have worked out with the Aggies. Le'Veon Moss still remains for Texas A&M football, as does Noah Thomas, but precious few other players are still in the fold from that cycle.

There have been some careers that have quietly petered out, and some that have collapsed in a fiery blaze. One of the most prominent in that latter category is former five-star DB signee Denver Harris.

Harris was one of the best defensive back prospects in the entire country in 2022 out of North Shore, and the Aggies won a hard-fought battle with Texas and Alabama for his services. However, following a midseason suspension, Harris left the team and ended up at LSU.

He didn't ever do much with the Tigers, though, and before long he was back in the portal. His next destination was down the road, finding a home with the UTSA Roadrunners.

Now, he's in the portal for the 3rd time, as he seeks a new home once more.

Harris appeared in 11 games for the Roadrunners, registering 3 PBUs, 16 tackles, and 1 TFL. His athletic gifts are undeniable, but it's not a lack of physical ability that has been the worry with Harris.

Hopefully, he finds the right situation this time. If he pulls it all together, he can be a heck of a player.
