Texasm A&M football just picked up a long-awaited commitment from five-star offensive lineman Kennedy Brown out of Kingwood, Texas. The Houston-area offensive tackle has been one of the most coveted players in the nation for years now, and the Aggies have been a favorite program for his for maybe just as long.

Brown is the 15th-ranked player in the nation, and has spent some time as the top-ranked player overall thanks to his ideal frame, at 6'4" and 285 LBs, and unmatched strength. He's a guy that has long been considered one of the crown jewels of the class for the Aggie staff, and he's finally given the Aggies the nod.

Texas A&M picks up commitment from five-star offensive tackle Kennedy Brown

Brown is the second five-star prospect to commit to Texas A&M after defensive end Zyron Forstall made the leap last month. He will be far from the last, however, as the Aggies lead for up to eight other five-star prospects, depending on where you look.

While Kennedy will be a cornerstone of this offensive line class, joining DeMarrion Johnson and Kaeden Scott as commitments, Texas A&M could add two or three more prospects of his caliber as well. The Aggies have also long been the pick for five-star lineman Albert Simien, are trending for five-star Mark Matthews, and have also had the upper hand in the recruitment of Oluwasemilore Olubobola.

No doubt the Aggies seeing all four offensive linemen drafted over the past few days helped contribute to this. Adam Cushing is one of the most elite coaches at the position in the entire country, and he is building a massive foundation with this class.

This is a huge jumping off point for the Aggies as they continue to build this class. The offensive line group may end up rivaling the defensive back group for the Ags when all is said and done, and that's some high praise.
