Easiest SEC permanent opponent draws - 7: Ole Miss

The Rebs also have a manageable schedule, though one that includes a big head-scratcher. Lane Kiffin’s program will face off with Mississippi State, LSU, and Oklahoma every year.

Again, the Egg Bowl is a must-keep, though it definitely makes the Rebels’ schedule easier by this methodology. Mississippi State’s best season in the calculations was three years ago, so it was the least-weighted of the three, and they’ve been pretty horrid since then.

LSU again is a natural one for the Rebels to keep. The Tigers have more of a list of various rivals than one who they hate most, but the Rebels would be up there on that list, probably topping it for many Ole Miss fans.

The strange one is Oklahoma. There’s really no connection between these two programs at all— there’s much more of a connection even with a team like Alabama or Auburn than there is with the Sooners. Again, this is probably because of the “competitive balance” thing, but it’s just strange.
