Deflating Shane Beamer quote just made the Texas A&M win even better

As Texas A&M marches on to the College Football Playoff, Shane Beamer may be out of a job soon.

It is amazing what a difference a year can make. This time last year, Shane Beamer's South Carolina Gamecocks could do no wrong. With LaNorris Sellers at quarterback, the Gamecocks were arguably the best team to not make the College Football Playoff at 9-3. Texas A&M achieved good, but not great success in year one under Mike Elko. Flash forward to right now, and look at what happened!

Texas A&M just pulled off its greatest comeback in program history. Down 30-3 at home to South Carolina at halftime, the Aggies scored 28 unanswered points to win the game by one to stay undefeated at 10-0 (7-0). This 31-30 victory for the Aggies would not have been possible without Elko. Furthermore, it could not have unraveled more under Beamer, who might be out of a job soon...

Beamer could not believe what happened to his team, as Cocky takes a huge loss in College Station.

"(Not finishing) makes me want to puke. Because our record around here going into the fourth quarter was pretty darn stellar."

You are what your record says you are, as South Carolina is unbelievably a 3-7 team on the season.

Texas A&M only has Samford at home and a road date at Texas left to be played this regular season.

Texas A&M fans must be loving watching Shane Beamer totally fall apart

With Texas A&M joining the SEC, South Carolina had a bit of a friendly rivalry as cross-divisional foes for years. These teams have a history, one where they routinely make the loser look so stupid. On this fine Saturday night, Beamer looks like a guy who is about to be run out of town in Columbia. His alma mater and his father's university of Virginia Tech is open, but the Hokies might prefer James Franklin.

As the old adage goes, first you are on top of the world, then you get toppled on. People love to build others up, only to tear them down in the end at their own convenience. What makes this Beamer quote so delectably delicious, minus the whole puking part of it, is the guy is mad that he is totally helpless to fix his mess. He is not a play caller, one who foolishly hired Mike Shula last offseason.

When it comes to Elko, he empowers his guys to make a difference. It has not always been smooth sailing for Collin Klein, but Elko continues to put his trust and faith into him. He and Marcel Reed paid him off perfectly when it mattered most. While Sellers could have done that for a panicky Beamer on the sidelines, he opted to do his 21st century version of Reggie Ball on fourth down to lose this one.

Never go full Reggie Ball and never go full Shane Beamer, especially when adversity strikes you down.
