Texas A&M football is coming into the 2025 season with just about the most depth-laden, experienced roster we've seen them have since they joined the conference. Their returning production is up there with some of the top teams in the entire nation, and one thing that stands out most of all is their high-level experience along the offensive line.

Bringing such a senior team into a season like this is usually a great recipe to excel in that season in the history of college football, so many Aggie fans are excited. But for this Texas A&M squad to get to the top, there's something that they need which is still currently a question mark.

For all of Texas A&M's depth and experience, they have a dearth of star power currently on the roster. And so, with a huge season that fans are looking forward to, the question needs to be asked: who will step up and take that mantle in 2025?

Who will be Texas A&M's superstar in 2025 season?

There are a few candidates for the Aggies when it comes to possible breakout stars, but they'll have to have a few things break right. The most obvious candidate is the Aggies' only preseason all-SEC first team selection in Le'Veon Moss, who was in the midst of a breakout year when he went down with injury last season.

Moss can be a do-it-all type and help lift this offense with his running ability in the upcoming season, but if he doesn't quite live up to expectations or misses more time due to injury, then that may not end up panning out.

If not Moss, then the Aggie faithful will probably consider Marcel Reed as the next option. His dynamic playstyle will create a lot of highlights if he can stay healthy, and if the Aggies are winning big games behind his play, then, it's easy to see him becoming a household name.

KC Concepcion is another option. Already having achieved a certain level of stardom in the ACC, Concepcion could be a breakout in the Aggies' passing game this year. Don't sleep on Amari Niblack at the tight end spot, either.

On the defensive side, Taurean York has received some first-round buzz, but his playstyle isn't the flashiest. Will Lee brings a high level of personality and has lockdown potential, but corners sometimes don't get a lot of press.

I've got three names that I want to watch closely on the defensive side: Cashius Howell, Scooby Williams, and Dalton Brooks. Howell could turn into a premier pass rusher this season if the heater he was on at the end of 2024 can continue, which would make him a standout on this squad.

Williams played through a torn ligament all last year, and was still one of the best players for A&M's defense. His speed and heavy-hitting play are huge pluses, and I could see him breaking out because of them.

Brooks is a guy who has flashed several times, but has also had some trouble in coverage. If the back-end issues get solved, he's the kind of hard-charging safety that can catch the eyes of viewers really quickly.

As a bonus, keep an eye on freshman Marco Jones. It's been said a lot this offseason, but he has the potential to make some noise in the defensive lineup as well.
