Despite win, Texas A&M stays put in AP top 25 after being leapfrogged by Indiana
Texas A&M football is coming off of their sixth straight win this season after vanquishing Mississippi State on the road. The game ended up as a ten-point deficit when all was said and done, though things were never really that close.
Of course, most voters won't keep that nuance in mind, which you would expect. Across the country, most tend to be tuned in to whatever huge game is happening in a given time slot—this weekend, when the Ags were playing, that was Tennessee-Alabama.
Whatever reason you may cite, though, the Aggies are staying put at 14 in this week's AP Poll. I considered this a real possibility when I did my projection earlier today, though I thought there was also a real chance they moved up one.

The Ags were jumped by undefeated Indiana, who just took down Nebraska in a pretty decisive victory. The Hoosiers are rolling this season under Curt Cignetti, so you expected a little bit that they'd move back ahead of the Aggies following A&M jumping them as a result of their victory over Missouri,
Georgia moves up to 2, and Texas falls to 5. Tennessee moved back into the top 10 at the 7 spot, and LSU is right behind them at 8. Alabama fell to 15, directly behind the Ags.
That means this weekend will see a matchup between the 8th-ranked and 14th-ranked squads in Kyle Field as the Bayou Bengals roll into town. That will be the top game of the weekend, as whoever wins will be in firm control of the SEC.
