Disgraceful list of best home environments in SEC unbelievably leaves off Texas A&M

Texas A&M is well known as the home of the 12th Man, but not everyone acknowledges the excellent environment in College Station.

There should really be no question that Texas A&M football has one of the best home field advantages in the conference. The Aggies have the largest stadium in the conference, and they have consistently performed much better at home than they have on the road, even if the overall record hasn't been the same as a place like Georgia or Alabama.

Apparently, though, that's something that not everyone wants to acknowledge. Despite the tradition of intimidation at Kyle Field for opposing fans, including some high praise from the greatest coach of all time, the Aggies still have to fight for their respect sometimes.

Certain outlets like to put together these kinds of lists in the offseason, ranking everything about a conference that they can think of. In this recent list of best home field advantages in the conference, the Aggies were left off of what is clearly a disgraceful list.

Texas A&M shockingly left off list of best home field advantages in SEC

Whenever a list like this comes out, it seems like a foregone conclusion that you'll see Kyle Field at or near the top. The Next Round, however, apparently didn't see fit to include the Aggies:

LSU I understand. But outside of the Tigers, I'm not sure there's another team that performs better at home relative to their overall quality in a given year than the Aggies.

Last year, an A&M team that went 8-5 held the national runner-up to 20 points and a team that finished in the top 4 to 17, not to mention what they did to LSU. This is the same team that was down 21-0 to 5-7 Auburn early in that game. That's outplaying your average, if nothing else.

The Aggies have, in recent memory, wins over no. 1 Alabama, no. 4 Florida, and no. 6 LSU all at home. They don't really have any comparable road wins— in one way, that's an indictment on the Aggies, but in another, it's clear that their home field lends them a significant advantage. If you see a list like this that doesn't have Kyle on it, you can rest assured the person making it is clueless.
