Since the release of "EA Sports College Football 25," it's become the best-selling sports video game history, with $500 million in sales in the first two weeks for EA Sports. This was a long time coming from over a decade-long hiatus, and the fans proved that.

Of course, the controversy of the NIL factor is not a small one, and this modern age of college football has made it frustrating for college coaches to operate, with some citing a lack of commitment compared to previous generations. This new modern era has led for some legends to retire in college sports, like Nick Saban, Tony Bennett and Jim Larrañaga.

Now, with EA Sports successfully experimenting with college football, there's one report signaling that the college basketball video game series will be back in the future, and college basketball fans will love playing with "Bucky Ball."

CBB video game will make for some exciting A&M basketball teams

The hiring of Bucky McMillan was more than just a hire. It became a transformation of the offensive philosophy overall. Hopefully, McMillan will still be the head coach in 2028, because that's when college basketball will come back to EA Sports, according to a memo obtained by Matt Brown.

With McMillan gaining some offensive firepower in the portal, Texas A&M might be one of the more fun teams to play with under Bucky's new style. "Bucky Ball" is all running fast offense and putting high pressure defense, just like Buzz Williams used to emphasize. But if Bucky keeps with the same offensive philosophy in three years from now, Texas A&M will be on the map regularly.

We won't see guys like Mackenzie Mgbako, Pop Isaacs and Rubén Domínguez in 2028, but Bucky will have already figured out the recruiting and the portal by then, making for fans choosing "Bucky Ball" in the upcoming video game.
