Instant-impact Texas A&M football signees: S Rashad Johnson
The Aggies flipping Johnson from Georgia didn't seem like a huge deal at the time—other than the mere fact that it was flipping a defensive back from a program run by Kirby Smart—but it has more and more looked like a big time move since that point.
Johnson has been another player who has had a meteoric rise in the rankings since committing to the Aggies. That speaks highly of Elko's eval ability as well, and getting him in the boat will be seen to be a huge win going forward.
The Aggies had a disappointing year at safety, so Johnson could be a guy who comes in and contributes quickly. I like the idea of him seeing some time in the rotation back there with Dalton Brooks and others, pending what happens for the Ags in the transfer window.
