ESPN blatantly disrespects Texas A&M basketball as a dark horse Final Four team

Once again, ESPN has found a way to disrespect Texas A&M. This time, it's on the hardwood with such low odds stacked against them.

Texas A&M basketball is having one of their best seasons in recent memory.

Since Buzz Williams took over, he's taken the Aggies to new heights, as Aggie fans now expect their team to win against some of the best teams in the country, and that's exactly what Aggie basketball has done so far in the 2024-25 season.

The Aggies have been described as a 'dark horse' many times by college basketball reporter Jon Rothstein. As the Aggies have proven time-and-time again that their rough style of rebounding will make them have a shot in every game this season, ESPN didn't see it that way, and actually ranked plenty of teams in odd and inaccurate places.

ESPN: Texas A&M basketball has a 9 percent chance to make Final Four

The biggest odds are Houston with a 49 percent chance, even though they went down to a tough Auburn team earlier this season.

The biggest surprise on here was Arizona. Even though they got a huge win against Iowa State, the Wildcats still have a long way to go before they truly think about a Final Four appearance. Caleb Love is one of the most dynamic guards in the country, but it's going to take a lot more for Arizona to make the Final Four.

ESPN putting Texas Tech and Illinois over Texas A&M is laughable at the very least. They've both had good enough seasons so far, but even ESPN's Jay Bilas said that going through the SEC is going to be a dogfight, and that entire tournament could actually mean more than the championship game.

If that thought holds true from Bilas, then we could see an enormous amount of competition in March Madness, which is what we're already expecting.

The Aggies are going to see a tough stretch coming very soon. Their style of play is something only very few can replicate,

Either way, ESPN is once again blatantly disregarding Texas A&M's chances, but it seemed like everybody in the comment section that are fans of other schools, respectfully disagreed too.
