December 5, 2020: Texas A&M football 31, Auburn 20
This was not a bowl game! Thanks to the COVID scheduling quirks we saw this year, the Aggies did not begin their schedule until late September, and some delays pushed this game until after Thanksgiving.
That meant that this contest occurred after A&M had played LSU and after Auburn had played Alabama in the Iron Bowl. That's really weird!
This was a game with several notable moments, but overall it was— like many games that the 2020 Aggies played— one in which A&M simply suffocated their opponent over the course of 60 minutes.
Bo Nix had an exciting touchdown to give Auburn an early lead, but the Tigers couldn't handle the combo of Isaiah Spiller and freshman Devon Achane. Again, this could have been more emphatic had the Aggies not gotten in their own way, but it was still a double-digit win for the Ags to move them to 5-3 in December games since 2012.
