Fans of both A&M and the Cowboys will be torn about Texas A&M players in Super Bowl

Texas A&M football has put yet a few more players in the Super Bowl for this year. However, Aggie fans who love the Cowboys may have a tough time with it.

Texas A&M football fans who love the Cowboys will hate that only two Aggie football players in Super Bowl are Eagles

Texas A&M football has put a lot of players in the league over the last decade and a half, including some of the biggest names around. I'm talking guys like Myles Garrett, Von Miller, Mike Evans, and the like.

For whatever recruiting success the Jimbo Fisher era had, though, he didn't have quite the hit rate when it came to getting guys to the league. So the number of younger Aggie players in the NFL is a little bit lower right now— it's mostly the elder statesmen that you'll see having spent time in College Station.

Hopefully, Mike Elko is turning that around. However that turns out, though, there are a few notable recent names that have made it to the pros— and two of those players will be in the Super Bowl next Sunday.

The issue, though, is that their allegiance may conflict with the professional allegiance of many Aggie fans. The Cowboys are the biggest show in town when it comes to the state of Texas, and the Philadelphia Eagles— representing the NFC in the Super Bowl— are their bitter rivals.

So it may be a tough pill to swallow for many Aggie fans that the only two Texas A&M football players in the Super Bowl will be wearing green and white. P Braden Mann and WR Ainias Smith are the only two Aggies in the game, and they both play for Philly.

There's a glass-half-full way to look at this, too: if you're a Cowboys fan who wants the Eagles to lose, and Philly somehow comes out victorious, you can feel happy for Ainias and Braden! Though I doubt that will be front of mind for many Cowboy/Aggie fans.
