Texas A&M has a huge year ahead of them in 2026. The Aggies need to get to 10 wins to make it back to the College Football Playoff, but the consensus is that they are facing a much stiffer challenge in the way of the schedule.
Of course, the Aggies faced what everyone thought was a tough schedule last year in the preseason, but by year's end, everyone was callign their opponents paper tigers. We'll see if the same thing happens this season, but regardless, getting to double-digit wins won't be easy.

Sep 5: Missouri State
This one goes about how you'd expect it to. The Aggie offense and defense are operating at full capacity and the Bears get overwhelmed. Marcel sits most of the second half and Brady Hart gets everyone excited about his ability as well as Aaron Gregory. A late drive gets Missouri State into field goal range, where they score to preserve a shred of their own dignity. Aggies win, 59-3. Record: 1-0 (0-0)
Sep 12: Arizona State
Texas A&M races out to a quick 17-0 lead over the Sun Devils in the hot noonday sun in College Station. The Aggies again let off of the pedal in the second half and ASU cobbles together some second-half points. Aggies win, 41-17. Record: 2-0 (0-0)
Sep 19: Kentucky
Will Stein and company come in with designs on an upset, but Mike Elko's defense is more than ready for the challenge. Jay Bateman's familiarity with Reed's game does not help the 'Cats too much in this one, but they hold A&M to their lowest-scoring game yet this year. Aggies win, 34-13. Record: 3-0 (1-0)
Sep 26: at LSU
The Tigers have a lot of motivation for this one after what happened in Death Valley last year, but the Aggies are catching them in a good spot after a visit to Ole Miss. Texas A&M takes advantage of that emotional letdown and a Kiffin offense that is still coming together to take home their second-straight victory on the Bayou. Aggies win, 34-24. Record: 4-0 (2-0)
Oct 3: Arkansas
The focus completely departs from Texas A&M's interesting camo uniform choice as Ryan Silverfield's Hogs get demolished in Kyle Field. KJ Jackson is befuddled all day by Mike Elko's defensive schemes and the Aggies turn Arkansas over 3 times, but the Razorbacks score a late touchdown. Aggies win, 44-20. Record: 5-0 (3-0)
Oct 10: at Missouri
This one takes on an interesting complexion, as the Tigers are undefeated heading into this game and ranked within the top 15. The Aggies are top-5 by this point, so this game gets a pretty high billing, but A&M is by far the better team here. Aggies win, 38-16. Record: 6-0 (4-0)
Oct 17: Citadel
Marcel gets about a quarter and a half of action before sitting the rest of the game to give Hart and Helaman Casuga some significant snaps, which slows down the offense a bit. The defense gets down to the third-string and fans begin to talk about how bright the future is for the Aggies. Aggies win, 41-0. Record: 7-0 (4-0)
Oct 24: at Alabama
Though this is a tough spot for the Aggies, they have a fortuitous bounce in that the Tide play Georgia and Tennessee in the preceding two weeks. They eke out a tight victory in T-Town to head into the break undefeated. Aggies win, 33-31. Record: 8-0 (5-0)
Nov 7: at South Carolina
Even-year Shane Beamer strikes again. LaNorris Sellers and Dylan Stewart look the best they've looked all year and the Aggies have a disappointing start to a crucial November that shakes the confidence of Texas A&M fans. Aggies lose, 27-24. Record: 8-1 (5-1)
Nov 14: Tennessee
A massive bounce back opportunity in the annual blackout game goes exactly the way you'd hope. Things are tight at the half, but Texas A&M pulls away in the second half to get back on track. Aggies win, 34-23. Record: 9-1 (6-1)
Nov 21: at Oklahoma
The two best defenses in the conference square off in Norman, but it's the Aggies that come away with just that much more of an offensive game. This is an early game, but the final is close enough that Sooner fans are swearing up and down that it would have been different if it had been a late kick. Aggies win, 23-20. Record: 10-1 (7-1)
Nov 27: Texas
Texas enters at 8-3 and the Aggies take out years of frustration on them to send them to 8-4. Arch is sacked four times and turns the ball over twice while Reed exits the day with a clean sheet. Aggies win, 31-17. Record: 11-1 (8-1)
