Final injury report for Texas A&M football ahead of matchup with Texas: Will Aggies have Rueben Owens available?
Texas A&M football is only hours away from renewing a long-dormant rivalry with the in-state Longhorns. This is an Aggie team that is coming into this game a little bit banged up, missing some of their top contributors—most notably, Le'Veon Moss.
But there are also a few question marks with some injuries coming into this game. Early on against Auburn, both Jaydon Hill and Will Lee went out of the game and did not return. Offensive lineman Chase Bisontis has been working his way back since sustaining an injury against Mississippi State.
Maybe the most intriguing, though, is Rueben Owens. The former five-star RB has missed the entire season with an injury suffered early in fall camp, but there are some rumblings that he will be returning for this huge game. That would be quite the boon for the Aggies, as they are razor-thin at the running back spot.
A few hours before the game, the Aggies released their most recent injury report.
Jaydon Hill, Will Lee, and Rueben Owens are all listed as game time decisions. Chase Bisontis has been removed.
Even just the return of Bisontis will be huge for the Aggies. He's probably A&M's best offensive lineman, and that guard spot has been tough in pass protection since he left. The Aggies will need the best versions of themselves here in this game, and having Bisontis back will be huge.
Hopefully, the other three are full go as well. This is a huge game, and the Aggies need all the help they can get.
Update: Owens is active for tonight's game.
