The Aggie defense matches their season total for interceptions
One of the statistical anomalies from this Texas A&M season has been its inability to force turnovers through the air — its three interceptions are tied for 125th in college football, and they've forced just one since the first weekend of October. While that hasn't kept them from winning football games, it is a trend I think we could see be bucked this weekend.
Samford passers have thrown 19 interceptions this season, which is the worst mark in the FCS. This will be their second game against FBS competition after playing Baylor back in September — a game in which the Bulldogs threw three picks to the Bears' defense.
So let's call for history to repeat itself this weekend in what will be a three-interception day for the Aggie secondary. While it won't say too much about the play from this defense, it will at least look nice in the box score.
