Five observations from A&M's bowl depth chart: Freshman OL making moves

One thing that caught my eye as I surveyed the names on the depth chart was, though the Aggies have all of their starting offensive line intact, the changing names of the backups. Where Kam Dewberry and TJ Shanahan were once staples, the transfer portal now has them outbound— and therefore not part of the gameday roster.

It's the players in their place, though, that have me intrigued. The freshman offensive line class, even after losing Weston Davis and Coen Echols to LSU last cycle, looks to be extremely solid. Isendre "Papa" Ahfua, Blake Ivy, Ashton Funk, and Robert Bourdon— the late flip from Duke— are all listed as backups in this one.

That's great news for the Aggies. Though they could pretty feasibly return their entire starting offensive line— which would be absolutely massive— bringing those guys along is huge right now. Here's hoping they see some quality reps in this one, though nothing precipitated by injury.
