Five observations from A&M's bowl depth chart: Moose Muhammad's absence
Maybe the most interesting thing on this depth chart is the absence of a guy who has been discussed far more than he has made an actual on-field impact. Ever since his arrival and freshman season, Moose Muhammad has been a guy that Aggie fans have wanted to see more of, but for one reason or another, he never got on the field.
Even so, in the snaps he did see, he tended to pull off some pretty amazing stuff. Fans remember the one hand catch against Oklahoma State last year, the hurdle against Prairie View, the touchdown against LSU, and more.
Now, though, his name is gone from the depth chart. Some were reporting that he has been removed from A&M's roster, but a later update contends that he has simply chosen to opt out and train for the NFL draft.
If this is the end of Moose's Texas A&M career, it's been a strange ride. His talent is undeniable, and fans may never get the real story as to why he didn't see the field more— there are several different schools of thought, but in the end, it is what it is.
