Texas A&M football is recruiting lights-out during this 2026 cycle, thanks in large part to the careful planning of Mike Elko and the stellar staff he has put together. The recent hot streak that the Aggies have been on has seen them become a real challenger for the top overall class— a notion that would havew been unthinkable only months ago.

With the Aggies landing a couple of five-stars on defense in Brandon Arrington and Tristian Givens over the past week or so, they are set up well for the future on that side of the ball. But that said, the Aggies still have a chance to make some more major noise on the recruiting front there if things break right.

Lamar Brown is a name that obviously comes to mind, as the top-5 player overall is mulling a decision between the Aggies and LSU Tigers. But a slightly under-discussed possibility for the Aggies is just coming off of an official visit to College Station, and A&M could make a major addition to their class if he chooses them.

Texas A&M closing in on possible pledge from another five-star defensive lineman in Bryce Perry-Wright

A&M has had a lot of luck so far in the Peach State this cycle, landing the aforementioned Givens to go along with Aaron Gregory and Jordan Carter. If they can pick up Buford DT Bryce Perry-Wright, though, they will maybe be the most significant recruiting presence there this entire cycle.

Perry-Wright is set to decide between Clemson and Texas A&M with an early July date for his commitment. He would slide in well as an interior defensive lineman— not a true run-stuffing defensive tackle, but an athletic guy who can dominate the point of attack in SEC football.

Outlasting the Tigers won't be easy, but if any program could, it's the Aggies. Clemson has a Georgia pipeline that's notable, but the Aggies are looking to open up one of their own after what they've accomplished this cycle. Hopefully, Perry-Wright will be a part of that.
