Five Texas A&M players who may not be back next year: LB Taurean York
York, like Bisontis, has started ever since he stepped foot on campus. He's been one of the Aggies' best defensive players in that span, making a name for himself as an intelligent captain of the unit and a solid tackler.
He was a low three-star coming out of high school, but the Aggies picking him up has vaulted him onto the highest stage as he competes in the nation's top conference. He was receiving some first-round draft buzz in the preseason (which has died down a bit to this point), so he's definitely on the NFL radar.
Does he choose to make the jump to the league? If they truly have him as a first or second-round selection, then it is hard to see him returning to school for another year. This is a guy that no one thought would be that high in estimation coming out of high school, so you'd have to understand if he took that opportunity.
On the other hand, though, when it gets to combine and pro day season, measurables are everything— and York's strength is productivity during the game rather than running the 40. That could mean that he ends up returning for another year as the captain of the Aggie defense, if all goes well.
