Flashing back to one of the funniest moments in Texas A&M football-LSU, CFB history
It should've been featured on America's Funniest Home Videos.
Going back to a classic, former LSU head coach Ed Orgeron had the time of his life—for a moment.
In this ultimate instant classic, we revisit one of the most notable Aggie games of all-time, including one of the most infamous premature pictures in college football history.
Ed Orgeron's premature gatorade bath brings back laughable memories
Kellen Mond's knee was the culprit.
With the Aggies down seven points with under a minute in the game, the Aggies needed to get a touchdown and an extra point to tie LSU.
On a bad snap, Mond was forced to go low to grab the football and throw it. It was picked off by LSU's Grant Delpit to seal the game for the Bayou Bengals -- for a moment.
Something about this image just has it all. The excitement, the gatorade bath and the emotion gives us an image of a premature celebration that was all for nothing.
A booth initiated review gave us a look at Mond's knee down before he ever threw the football. It would be a loss of yardage for A&M, but more importantly, they would keep the ball on offense.
After the premature bath, the Aggies would eventually score a tying touchdown with no time left in regulation. It would take seven overtimes to finally end it for the Aggies, 74-72, in one of the most unforgettable games in college football history.
Aggie fans were quick to point out the early gatorade shower.
It wouldn't have been a story at all if the Tigers would've ended up winning—but they didn't, which makes this moment so much more sweeter for Aggie fans.
This gave us another lesson of not to celebrate too early. Cue Desean Jackson, Chase Claypool and Sammy Watkins.
You can add LSU football in that mix as well.
The game that brought us everything, included a picture that won't be forgotten by Aggie fans for years to come.
