Former Texas QB Chance Mock attempts to burn Trey Zuhn on social media; Accidentally cops to Kyle Field's superiority instead

With Texas A&M football getting ready to face off against the Texas Longhorns this weekend in a renewed rivalry matchup, there's a lot of energy in the air. It's not only because this game is coming back after a long hiatus, however; nothing less than a SEC championship opportunity and possible playoff berth is on the line for these two squads.

As you might expect, then, there's quite a lot of sniping going on back and forth between fanbases this week, and even former players. Heck, even current players are getting in on the action, as Trey Zuhn was unafraid to speak his mind during press availability this week about the kind of environment the Longhorns will be walking into on Saturday.

All told, his comment was pretty mild. But a former Longhorn quarterback saw what he thought was an opportunity for a dunk—and he went in for the attack.

So if you're tracking here, Mock's argument is that players go to Texas in order to play... at Kyle Field?

Or maybe it's even more than that. They go to Texas as some sort of ascetic self-denial and can only dream of playing in an environment like Kyle Field. Their true desires can only be accessed during sleep, I guess, so getting to play in an awesome stadium and environment like Kyle this weekend will be some kind of long-awaited wish fulfillment for the Texas players.

You'd think the logical reply from someone wishing to boost Texas would be to talk up their own home field advantage, but I guess that is so obviously laughable when you're comparing the two that he didn't even make an attempt.

This is an odd rhetorical strategy, but I can't really say I disagree with the truthfulness of it.
