The Texas A&M Aggies are a much better football team than what fans saw against Auburn. Mike Elko was asked numerous times about the various self-inflicted errors his team created, and even ranted to the media that they should spend more time highlighting the defense and the havoc they gave Auburn on third downs.
The defense should be proud of themselves. After all, they only gave up 177 total yards and held Cam Coleman silent for only four catches for 18 yards. Third down? Terrible for the Tigers. 0-for-13.
There were plenty of risers that should be proud of themselves, but also some fallers that we have to discuss following this one.
Riser: Taurean York
We will never get tired talking about the captain of the defense. Taurean York was having the time of his life on the field.
Jesse Palmer who was on the call gave a shoutout to York's high IQ play. He was all over the field pressuring Jackson Arnold and making tackles. York was doing everything. He had seven total tackles, a sack, and two tackles for loss.
York was a major reason the Aggies got the win, and fans should be pumped to see what else he can do this season.
Riser: Cashius Howell

He might've looked silent on the stat sheet, but a huge sack in the fourth quarter led to the Tigers having to punt.
Howell has been a sleeper in the SEC in terms of pass rushers. It was nice to see him get his moment, pumping up the crowd after such an enormous sack.
Faller: Albert Regis
This is what Elko was talking about in terms of silly mistakes.
Regis had two key penalties against him. One for roughing the punter, where fans are right to question, but the call was made, giving Auburn a free first down when A&M should've had the ball.
He also bodyslammed an Auburn player after the whistle was blown dead, giving Auburn more free yards.
This really had nothing to do with his play, where he actually came up with five tackles. It had to do with self-inflicted errors, and Elko will address that this upcoming week.
Riser: Dayon Hayes
You can't highlight enough sacks.

When you get the game-winning sack, you better believe you will be on this list.
Great game and great moment for Hayes who will have more big moments this season.
Faller: Randy Bond
Usually Bond is on point, but he missed a couple of kicks. We can't completely blame him for the Aggies' offense not putting him in better position, but he's kicked in long ones before.
Bond will definitely bounce back this season.
Riser: Le'Veon Moss
Moss seemed to be the only one working it on offense, as he finished with 21 carries, 139 yards and a score.
Moss is the clear RB1, and while Amari Daniels and Rueben Owens got their fair share of carries, Moss showed us why he's the real deal when the OL is on point.
