Former Texas A&M defensive tackle Shemar Turner has been moving pretty quietly since the 2025 NFL Draft, as Shemar Stewart has been the one to dominate the headlines the entire offseason. After a petty standoff from the Bengals front office, Stewart finally got signed, and it shows how the Bengals came to their senses after trying to make a 'power' statement.
Now, it's Turner who's making the headlines recently. Stewart left the field with an ankle sprain and now, the Bears will be without him for at least a month. Even though the Bears are waiting for a speedy recovery, he might've just dodged a bullet to still make his NFL debut on time.
Per @BradBiggs , the Chicago Bears are preparing to be without second-round pick Shemar Turner for at least a month.

Stewart might still get a chance to play for kickoff weekend
Stewart will be out for at least a month, and even though he might not play at all during preseason, he might still be on track to make his debut with the rest of his peers for kickoff weekend.
The injuries are already starting to rack up around NFL training camps, as injuries to Justin Fields and Tyler Guyton have shown us how fast some seasons can change in an instant. Even though it's very possible for Stewart to still make his debut in week one, it's still frustrating for Bears fans to not be able to see their second-round pick for preseason.
The Bears are lucky to have Turner, as the Bears need some serious help at defensive line. We won't get a chance to see him until the regular season, but we sure wish him a speedy recovery and a great career in the NFL.
