Grading every SEC team's transfer portal haul: Texas

This is pretty ho-hum on both sides. Travis Shaw was an exciting prospect who didn't do much at UNC, so Texas fans are hoping Kenny Baker can develop him leaps and bounds in a short time. There's not too much to be said about Brad Spence or Cole Brevard.

I'm not too pressed about the loss of Johntay Cook, since I considered him one foot out the door for quite some time, given his antics. Sydir Mitchell's loss could hurt, as could most of the defensive linemen who departed— quite a number, as it turns out.

Sarkisian and the Longhorns will have to work hard to bring in some more defensive linemen in the spring window, but I imagine the pickings will be slim.

PICKUPS:
LB Brad Spence
DL Travis Shaw
P Jack Bouwmeester
DL Cole Brevard

LOSSES:
DL Sydir Mitchell
EDGE Justice Finkley
CB Jay'Vion Cole
DL Tiaoalii Savea
DL Aaron Bryant
LB Derion Gullete
EDGE Tausili Akana
DL Jaray Bledsoe
WR Johntay Cook II
