How Texas A&M football can take advantage of Brian Kelly's complete mismanagement of the LSU Tigers
One of Texas A&M football's top rivals in the Southeastern Conference is really going through it right now. And it's glorious to watch.
When LSU walked out of Kyle Field in late October, they were a different team than the one that came in there. Something within them had broken—no doubt thanks at least in part to Kyle Field's environment and Marcel Reed's brilliance.
Now, the Tigers are approaching a nadir. With the regular season now over, things are beginning to fall apart at the seams for Brian Kelly's squad.
The first warning sign was what happened at Kyle Field. A few losses later, the Tigers lost the number one overall recruit in the nation, Bryce Underwood, to Michigan. Today, they lost another top-ranked recruit to a flip in Kade Phillips. That's not all, either; there have been a lot of losses in this class, as this LSU fan outlines.
If Ed Orgeron lost Bryce Underwood, Dakorien Moore, Kade Phillips, Devin Harper, Derek Meadows, Jaboree Antoine, Jesse Harrrold y'all would be calling for his head. But since it's BK that is letting this class burn it's no big deal. Watching y'all cope is amazing 🤣🤣

And now the portal consequences are beginning. LSU is set to lose some major contributors to the transfer ranks, including a former five-star in Dashawn Wommack.
The most intriguing from an A&M perspective has to be CJ Daniels. The former Liberty WR had a huge year for the Tigers in 2024, but has elected to move on. He's the archetype that the Aggies need out wide, and you can bet they'll be taking a hard look at him.

Brian Kelly has always seemed like a strange fit in Baton Rouge, and his downfall could be just what sets the Tigers back to their pre-Nick Saban days, as they are chained to him and his massive contract for quite some time. Thanks, Scott Woodward!
