Texas A&M baseball is gearing up for their second series of the year this weekend. After a cancellation for the midweek game, the Aggie fans will once more be able to get their fill of the number one team in the land as they take on Cal Poly in this weekend's series.
The Aggies should be heavy favorites in this one, as you might expect. These first few series are essentially warmups before the unrelenting grind of the SEC sets in, and this team is just getting tuned up. The losses are usually minor setbacks, but the Aggies have come through non-conference play before with an unblemished record, which is extremely impressive.
Whether or not that is a feat they can duplicate this year, I'm not sure there's much that will dampen the excitement this fanbase feels for the Aggie baseball team. This is as engaged as I've ever seen the Maroon and White faithful when it comes to the sport, and for good reason.
