Texas A&M basketball is trending the wrong way heading into March Madness. The Aggies have found themselves in the midst of a four-game losing streak at the worst time— after a span in which it seemed like the Ags had broken through, they are now searching for answers.
Admittedly, A&M was only favored in one of those four games— the loss to Vanderbilt that ended up as a close final score. But even so, if you're a team that hopes to go late into the NCAA tournament, you have to be able to win the kind of games that we have seen the Aggies look less than competitive in recently.
Maybe the toughest test yet will be strolling into Reed Arena tonight, as the Auburn Tigers come in to take on the Aggies. Bruce Pearl's team has been the number one squad in the rankings for the majority of the season, and for good reason.
Here's everything you need to know about how to watch this matchup.
How do I watch Texas A&M men's basketball against the Auburn Tigers?
Time: 8 PM CT/9 PM ET
Date: March 4, 2025
Location: Reed Arena in College Station, Texas
TV: ESPN or streaming
Texas A&M record: 20-9 (9-7 SEC)
Auburn record: 27-2 (15-1 SEC)
This is maybe the best Auburn team we've seen since Pearl took over on the Plains, and that's saying something. To that end, this would be quite the win if the Aggies were able to pull it off— but that will be the tallest task they've yet faced in a season that's been full of them.
One thing is for sure: despite the four-game skid, they'll have a rocking Reed Arena behind them. This is Senior Night, and it's a group that's given a lot to this university. There will no doubt be a heavy contingent of students out to support these players.
