After a year in which Texas A&M basketball has suffered too many losses thanks to injury, the shoe might be on the other foot in the biggest game so far.

Texas A&M basketball is gearing up for a massive game tomorrow against the Tennessee Volunteers. The Aggies need to reclaim some mojo after a disheartening midweek road loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and this is a huge opportunity to do so.

Rick Barnes's squad rolls into College Station ranked as one of hte top teams in the entire nation. Though they have a worse conference record than the Aggies, they came into SEC play completely unblemished, so their overall record is still better.

That said, the Aggies have been great at home, and the Volunteers have been so-so on the road. You know Reed Arena will be an absolute hornet's nest, so this will be no easy task for Big Orange— and it may just have gotten that much harder.

Tennessee big man Felix Okpara questionable for showdown with Texas A&M basketball

One of Tennessee's best players, big man Felix Okpara, has been listed as questionable for tomorrow's matchup, which essentially means his participation is a 50/50 proposition at this point.

The Aggies play their best when they are able to crash the offensive boards repeatedly, so if Okpara is unable to go, that could really be huge for the Aggies. This is not to mention that Okpara is one of the best shot-blockers in the conference and nation, so him missing this one could be huge for the Aggies' offense in the paint as well.

After a year in which the Ags have suffered a litany of game-changing injuries, this could represent a break in the opposite direction. You obviously never hope a player is injured, but the law of averages seemed to dictate that things would go the opposite way at some point.

Texas A&M basketball faces off with Tennessee at Reed Arena tomorrow at 11 AM CT on ESPN.
