Marcel Reed's leap from a backup quarterback for Texas A&M to a true Heisman contender has been one of the biggest stories for this Aggie team this year. It started with his massive and clutch performance up in South Bend against the Fighting Irish in week three, and the nation was just put on notice once again with his dazzling play against the LSU Tigers this past weekend.

It was that win over Notre Dame that began Reed's Heisman candidacy in earnest, but this win over the Tigers has legitimated that candidacy. There's no player in the entire country more prolific, with a style more electric, than that of number ten in maroon and white.

With the Aggies now at 8-0, poised to contend for an SEC title and playoff spot— and possibly an undefeated regular season— the campaign for Marcel to be awarded the highest individual honor in the sport has begun to take shape, and fans can make their voices heard.

The time is now for Marcel Reed's Heisman campaign to kick into high gear

After the game this past weekend, the official account for Texas A&M football was not shying away from recognizing Marcel's excellent play on a national stage as something that confirmed his Heisman contention. OC Collin Klein was asked about Reed's candidacy, and he answered pretty strongly— something you can hear in the edit down below.

He's also been brought into a huge national spotlight in other ways, recently sitting down with Kirk Herbstreit and Joey Galloway on their podcast. His answers and comportment are winning him a bunch of fans all across the nation, only helping his chances:

The Aggie QB1 is a true winner, and that shines through in so many ways both on and off the field. Now, it's time to make him a Heisman trophy winner, which the Texas A&M football account showed fans how to do with this recent tweet:

With such a tight Heisman race this year, there are currently no runaway candidates, so this ballot could end up being particularly meaningful. That fans can have a voice here helps the Aggies, who have one of the largest alumni bases in the country— it's time for A&M to show that they truly never lose an internet poll.
