KC Concepcion injury update: Aggies star receiver nowhere to be found after hard hit

Texas A&M's best pass-catcher hasn't been a factor in the first half, thanks in large part to a big hit on a punt return.

Texas A&M's offense has moved the ball a fair amount on the Miami Hurricanes so far in this first half, even while the defense has shut Mario Cristobal's squad down. One player who hasn't been as much of a factor in this first half as many anticipated was Texas A&M receiver KC Concepcion.

Concepcion is the number one pass-catcher for the Aggies by any metric you care to name, but he's not been on the board very much so far. He's been targeted a couple of times, but inaccurate throws and other factors have led to him currently being without a catch.

The big issue, of course, is the fact that KC sustained a massive hit on a punt return in the early part of the second quarter, one after which he did not see a target. Fans were initially worried that he was injured, and he may in fact be shaken up, but the good news is that he was back on the field after the big hit.

Injury update: Texas A&M receiver KC Concepcion back on field after massive hit, but still has yet to make impact

Concepcion looked like there was an issue right after sustaining that massive collision, but made his way back onto the field after that point.

That's the good news. The bad news is that the lingering effects of that hit may still have Concepcion not at 100%, which might be an issue going forward for the Aggies.

If Texas A&M is to make something happen in the second half on offense, getting the ball to KC is an imperative. He's not only elite at getting open, he can be really physical after the catch, so the Aggies have to do whatever they can to get the ball in his hands.
