It didn't seem like that long ago when Texas A&M fans knew they were going to get a season of KC Concepcion.

The question was: How was Concepcion's game going to translate to Texas A&M? The answer: The impact was felt, and it was immediate. Concepcion finished the 2025 season with 61 receptions for 919 yards and 9 touchdowns, averaging 15.1 yards per catch.

What Concepcion said at the NFL Combine will have every Texas A&M fan missing him next year. We know he's off to the NFL to make Texas A&M proud, but to know that we only got one year out of the former NC State WR is disappointing.

KC Concepcion thanks Texas A&M for everything they did for him in just one season

"That year at A&M, it meant everything for me. They believed in me and took a chance on me. They allowed me to be me again. I owe those guys everything. "

This is no way a dig at NC State either. Concepcion is a well-mannered man, and I'm sure he has no hard feelings toward the Wolfpack coaching staff. But what he did at Texas A&M was incredible. After a season where Conner Weigman and Marcel Reed couldn't find a top target, it seemed destined for Concepcion to set foot in College Station.

Concepcion and Mario Craver grew to be one of the best WR duos in the country. Craver is now clearly the WR1, and the Aggies have the keys already in the ignition for him. For Marcel Reed, the Concepcion-Craver duo is all he needed to gain confidence on the field.

Concepcion is expected to be a late first-round pick, with the latest draft boards having him go to the San Francisco 49ers. With Brandon Aiyuk's future uncertain, it may be time for a young duo of Concepcion and Ricky Pearsall to emerge quickly.
