Lane Kiffin takes shot at Mike Elko after Texas A&M coach comments on kickoff times

The Ole Miss coach, who is coming off the biggest win of his career, can't keep Texas A&M off of his mind.

Lane Kiffin still petulant about kickoff times; takes needless jab at Mike Elko: "Trade you anytime coach"

Texas A&M football is coming out of their bye this week to take on the New Mexico State Aggies. The Ags are set to, most likely, play five straight night games to close the season; both LSU and South Carolina are at night, and we now know NMSU and Auburn will be night games as well. There's little doubt that the Lone Star Showdown will be a night kickoff, too.

At the end of his radio show last night, Mike Elko made a comment about this fact after Lane Kiffin's well-publicized complaint about not getting enough home night games. Of course, the Aggies have positioned themselves well to be playing in highly consequential games down the stretch, while a few early losses by Ole Miss have meant that the Rebs are in no such position.

Though Elko's comment was clearly meant in good fun and was nothing more than a light joke, Lane Kiffin is apparently allergic to understanding that kind of thing. Kiffin took to Twitter to air his grievances, as he so often does, and take a completely unnecessary shot at Elko.

It would seem that the jocular nature of what Elko was saying would be obvious, but Kiffin completely missed that point.

Kiffin continues to demonstrate his bizarre grudge against the Aggies. His rivalry with Jimbo Fisher was evident over the last couple of years, but many thought that this was limited to the former head man for A&M and not the institution. But now, he's picking a fight with Elko. I guess he just can't help himself.
