Texas A&M football fans were hoping to see a few of their defensive players back from injury in this game, but the Aggies will apparently have to wait on that.
The latest SEC availability report sees two Texas A&M defenders who had been listed as "questionable" having been moved to "out" for this game against Mississippi State. Linebacker Scooby Williams and safety Bryce Anderson have both been out of commission since the middle of the Notre Dame game, and while there was some hope that they could return for this game against Mississippi State, it appears caution has played the better part of valor for the Aggie coaching staff.

Both Williams and Anderson have been downgraded to out on this report, killing the dreams of Texas A&M fans of seeing a full-strength defense against this pesky Mississippi State offense, but all is not lost.
Texas A&M football will be without two injured players against Mississippi State, but Bulldogs lose one of their best
The good news for the Aggies is that the best defender for Mississippi State, Isaac Smith, has also been downgraded to out. That raises the ability of Texas A&M to take the top off of the defense, even though State will probably be more than ready to sit back in coverage and keep everything in front of them.
Of course, that's a dangerous proposition when you're facing a pair of receivers like Concepcion and Craver. They can catch a pass underneath and work their way through a defense, especially with the high level of receiver blocking we've seen out of that room this year.
Texas A&M will still have quite a task ahead of them, so the Aggies have to be a little bit bummed about who they're missing in this game. Even so, they should still roll in this one.
