Interceptions leader: Jermod McCoy, Tennessee
This one is very tough to predict, as often the best corners are the ones that simply don't get thrown at. However, McCoy, as a guy who was already a top corner last year, was near the top of this list in 2024.
I think we can see that happen again. The Oregon State transfer acquitted himself with aplomb at Tennessee last year, and even though he brings in a great reputation this year as a shutdown corner, his ball skills will lead him to having a huge year in picking off passes once again.
There are a bevy of elite corners throughout the league, of course, including Texas A&M's own Will Lee, but McCoy is my pick to lead the conference in this category. Again, this is rather fickle by its nature, given that QBs may look off any receiver that McCoy is covering more often than not, but of those corners in the conference that are vying for this title, I give him the best shot.
