LSU's quarterback just made the worst mistake of his life by ripping Kyle Field

You remember what happened to the last Tiger team to be so cavalier about Texas A&M football's home environment?

Some people never learn: LSU's Garrett Nussmeier rips Kyle Field, ensures wrath of the 12th Man

In life, there are moments that we all wish we could take back. There are things we say that we immediately know we should not have said—but they just hang out there, over our heads, until the consequences arrive.

Garrett Nussmeier may not feel that way right now, but he's about to.

The quarterback for LSU, speaking about the home field advantage that Texas A&M football boasts, had this to say about the Home of the 12th Man.

Look, he seems like a nice guy. Maybe he's just trying to build up the considerable home field advantage that Death Valley unquestionably possesses, given that he is the quarterback at LSU.

But ahead of a trip to a place like Kyle Field—even well ahead, as this appears to be a video from this past summer's Manning Passing Academy—it is manifestly unwise to challenge the 12th Man like this.

We've seen this story far too many times before. An opposing quarterback who has yet to play in Kyle appears aloof and unbothered when considering the challenge in front of them, all but shrugging off the blaring alarms and warning signs that attend such a challenge.

Then, said quarterback finds out that his confidence—however far it has gotten him up until that point—got the better of his wisdom as he is humbled in front of 100,000+ yelling fans.

In fact, it happened this season! A few weeks ago! To another team named the Tigers!

I get it—Death Valley is loud. That's great.

You're not playing this game in Death Valley.

If I were an LSU fan (there but for the grace of God go I), I would be extremely dismayed at the appearance of this video. At least Brian Kelly had the wherewithal to pay his respects ahead of the game at his presser earlier this week.

And as an A&M fan, I'm now even more excited for this weekend's game.
