Bucky McMillan has done magic in the transfer portal by bringing in the most top 100 transfers in the country. One of those being Mckenzie Mgbako, the former Hoosier with plenty of upside with a spot in the NBA soon.
With Mgbako looking to give himself a second chance with a new home, there's talk about the potential of Mgbako staying for longer than anticipated. One report shows that McMillan and his staff have offered a spot to Ethan Mgbako, Mackenzie's younger brother.
This shows that Mgbako might be in for more than just one year, as his draft stock is about to skyrocket before the 2026 NBA Draft.
Mgbako brothers at Texas A&M could mean Mackenzie stays longer

The younger Mgbako is a 6’6” four-star SF in the class of 2026.
Currently plays for Oak Hill and has offers from Pitt, Creighton, LSU, Florida State, and many more. https://t.co/rofLmPXBdX
It seems like just recently when Texas A&M fans were concerned if Mackenzie was actually going to pass up on his new opportunity with McMillan, thanks to his brilliant performances in the combine. Now, it appears that Mackenzie might stay longer if his brother actually commits to A&M.
Creighton would be the only school I'm worried about personally. With Creighton becoming a recent dominating program in college basketball recently, there's definitely an argument for Ethan committing there.
Of course, this isn't a straight shot to happen. After all, lots of cards would have to fall in the right place for this scenario to happen. If Mgbako goes to the NBA Draft in 2026 which is expected, than so be it. Either way, this is a great opportunity for the Mgbako brothers to play together for one year at Texas A&M.
Considering Mackenzie is already at Texas A&M, it seems like A&M is already the favorite to land Ethan. We're still a long way from any of that, but we'll stay tuned.
