Texas A&M fans are still sore over the home loss to the Miami Hurricanes in the opening round of the College Football Playoff, nigh one month ago now. The Aggies had the ball with a chance to tie the game from the five yard line in the waning seconds until a late pass turned into a game-sealing interception for the Canes.
Would the Aggies have made the same run that Miami has done to get to the national championship game? It's hard to tell what the answer would be there— the Canes beat Ohio State by a greater margin than they did the Aggies, though at a neutral site— but the "what-if" will plague fans for some time.
With Miami about to compete with Indiana for a title, the media spotlight on both teams is bright— and one recent question to the Hurricane players made something clear that will either make Aggie fans excited or even more sick.
Miami players unanimously laud Kyle Field as toughest environment they've seen, pouring more salt in the wound for Aggie fans
It should be no surprise at all to Texas A&M fans that the environment at Kyle Field, maybe the most intense playoff environment ever in college, made such an impact on the Hurricane players, with everyone in a Miami uniform that answered this question mentioning Aggieland.
Someone asked Indiana and Miami players the toughest place they’ve ever played.

These are some very deserved props for the Aggies, of course, but it also may be a bit of a hard pill to swallow for the Ags. Some of the Texas A&M faithful feel as though the environment was wasted as the Aggies were unable to capitalize with a win.
Regardless, this is yet one more data point that proves that Kyle Field is the best stadium in the nation, and the greatest home field advantage by far. The Home of the 12th Man will always live up to the hype no matter what, but especially for these massive games.
