Texas A&M is down 2-0 in their three-game series against the Texas Longhorns, now captained by former Aggie skipper Jim Schlossnagle. Despite two losses so far, this has been a hotly-contested series, with both wins coming by the narrowest of margins for the Longhorns.
Obviously, this is an emotional set of games for the Aggies for reasons that go beyond the simple rivalry aspect. Schlossnagle's departure left a bad taste in A&M fans' mouths, and they've been itching for the Ags to get back at their former coach.
Michael Earley no doubt has a lot of emotions about this series as well. He briefly went with Schloss to Texas before returning to A&M as the head coach, so there's a lot of storylines there.
Michael Earley unloads on officiating after Kash ejection, suspension
Earley has shown himself to be a guy who's not afraid to let umpires or opposing coaches know what his thoughts are during tense moments in general— and one of those tense moments ended up costing the Aggies, leading to this interview.
Gavin Kash took exception with something that the Longhorn bench was saying while he was walking back to the A&M dugout following a flyout. Here's the video of Kash after the incident:

The umpires jumped quickly into the situation and ejected Kash, and it has now been announced that the man that Earley was going to start at first base today will be unavailable for the game.
After the game, Earley spoke his mind about what went down:

This interaction between Kash and Texas's Will Gasparino is not the first time the two have had a run-in. Last season, while Kash was at Texas Tech, this conflict erupted:

It's possible that there's some bad blood still there after this dust-up from last year. Maybe it was just the blood running hot in the midst of a rivalry series. Whatever the case, though, Earley wasn't a fan of how the umpires chose to handle it— and understandably so.
