Now that the Texas A&M Aggies have used all of their great financial resources to make the College Football Playoff, they need to do everything in their power to get back next season. While next year's SEC schedule should be harder than what A&M had to navigate a season ago, there is a great chance the Aggies will grow from their untimely first-round exit. It is all about getting the right pieces in place.
One player who is now available in the transfer portal who could help them is tackle Jordan Seaton.
Florida booster reveals $2.5 million asking price for ex-Colorado OT Jordan Seaton, who hit the transfer portal yesterday. The former IMG Academy 5-star is projected as a future first-rounder. https://t.co/IYkgh2yLjx

While Seaton may carry a $2.5-million price tag, he could be worth every penny to Texas A&M. Having a player of his caliber helping keep Marcel Reed upright in a post-Collin Klein offense could be so tremendously beneficial for the Aggies. Of the five SEC teams who made the playoff last year, Texas A&M has to be among the most likely contenders to make it back, right? It is why they need Seaton!
Let's unpack why it is the better allocation of resources than spending a boatload on Cam Coleman.
Texas A&M should give all of its Cam Coleman money to Jordan Seaton
They may play different positions, but $2.5 million to Seaton in the extended wake of Coleman leaving Auburn for Texas might be the smarter move here for the Aggies. This is all about setting Heisman Trophy contender at quarterback for as much success as possible next year. He will have to adjust to Klein taking over at Kansas State, but having a blindside protector like Seaton can reshape his game.
To put it simply, having more time to throw could be what gets Reed over the top and into the Heisman Trophy ceremony next December. His physical gifts will allow him to find the open receivers if he is giving more time to throw. This would fit in quite nicely to the overall philosophy of head coach Mike Elko. After years of being wooed by impressionable nonsense, Elko has been the total opposite.
By winning on both sides of the line of scrimmage, Texas A&M can play with confidence in every game next season. Texas A&M cannot only sell that whoever comes to College Station will be developed for the next level, but that they can seriously compete for national championships as presently constructed. Other teams like Miami, Georgia, or whoever may be interested in Seaton, too.
Texas A&M offers the perfect combination of winning, finances, and opportunity to a guy like Seaton.
