A former 5-star recruit has entered the transfer portal unexpectedly. Justin Flowe, the former Oregon and Arizona linebacker has thrown his name in the transfer ranks.

Flowe has had a series of injuries impacting his career, which would be a huge risk for Mike Elko to take. Flowe still has something to prove, but the Aggies would need to proceed with caution.

Texas A&M football getting Flowe would be a high risk, high reward option

In the 2023 season, Flowe had his best season to date, recording 45 total tackles. The Aggies would be a terrific option for Flowe, providing him the keys to become a day one starter. Taurean York has been the riding the ship as the main Aggie linebacker, but Flowe would be a big help with this new look on the defensive coaching staff.

The Aggies have another solid option at linebacker right now in Scooby Williams, but adding talent at that spot will never be a bad thing. Flowe could be a player that stands out in this Aggie defense if Elko pulls this off.

Flowe's work ethic is incredible too, watch here as he pancakes one of his opponents on a special teams play.

At 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, this is a massive human being running down the field on a special teams play. His size covers enough ground to make plays on the defensive end, him and York might be one of the best linebacking duos in the country if Flowe does make the leap of faith to College Station.

It would be a long shot for Flowe to become an Aggie, but his size and agility would help out the team in the long run. Of course, there is a risk of losing Flowe in the middle of the season— given his injury history, that isn't something to take lightly.
