Barring a historic collapse, the Texas A&M Aggies should be in the College Football Playoff. After making a statement in Baton Rouge to Garrett Nussmeier and Brian Kelly, the Aggies have clearly separated themselves from the pack of the SEC.

What looked like an ugly ending to the first half was easily erased early in the second half, as the Aggies outscored the Tigers in the second half by a score of 35-7. The Aggies aren't just making their argument for Atlanta, they're making a case to be the best college football team in the country.

Here's what Mike Elko had to say after the dominant win, including a subtle jab at the LSU fans.

Mike Elko on not just talking the talk:

"We want to be a program that achieves things. We don't want to be a program that talks about achieving things."

Mike Elko on his offense:

"If you look at teams that have won the SEC and have made a run in the playoffs they have explosive players. Now, we have them. That makes us a challenging offense."

MIke Elko on LSU's home night record:

The "fire Kelly" chants were loud and proud tonight. In the postgame presser, Kelly even said that LSU fans have every right to be upset after tonight, and the mental fatigue from Nussmeier showed.

Mike Elko on SEC competition:

"Five SEC games in a row is hard. It takes a physical toll. The bye week comes at a good time."

Mike Elko reminding folks how long it's been since A&M beating LSU on road:

This is just reminding us how old some of us folks are, as Elko was a young one at this time. It's also a good reminder that the Aggies were in the Big 12 conference for numerous years before the SEC, so, it kind of adds up.
