Myles Garrett inches closer to the sack record this week for Aggies in the NFL

Myles Garrett and Devon Achane light up stat sheets once again this week for our Aggies in the NFL.

Many Aggies took the field this NFL weekend, but once again, Myles Garrett and Devon Achane shine on the gridiron for their respective teams. This is starting to just become a weekly article for them, but they both deserve it based on their recent play.

Let's start with Myles Garrett. Myles had another dominant performance and inched closer to the coveted NFL single season sacks record by an individual. Despite the loss to the 49ers, Garrett had himself 5 tackles, 2 solo tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and one sack.

Now we get to Devon Achane. He had a dominant performance yesterday rushing for 134 yards on 22 carries and also scored an early touchdown. His play was a big part of the Dolphins 21-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints yesterday.

Other Aggies around the NFL also made significant contributions to their teams this weekend. Donovan Wilson record 5 total tackles, and 2 solo tackles in the Cowboys win over the Chiefs on Thanksgiving. Also on Thanksgiving, Edgerrin Cooper had 8 tackles, and 2 solo tackles in the Packers win over the Lions.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Tyrel Dodson recorded 8 tackles, 4 of them solo, and one pass deflection in the Dolphins win. Demani Richardson had 2 tackles, one of them solo, while Nic Scourton had one solo tackle in the panthers upset win over the Rams.

In Indianapolis, Buddy Johnson recorded 3 tackles, one solo while Jaylon Jones recorded 2 tackles, one solo tackle in the Colts loss to the Texans. Lastly, Antonio Johnson recorded 4 total tackles, two solo tackles in the Jaguars dominant win over the Titans.
