National outlet calls for Texas A&M to finally receive much-deserved respect

It seems like everyone else is doubting Texas A&M's AP ranking.

The Texas A&M Aggies are trending in the right direction with the SEC media. Since Media Days, the Aggies are finally getting the respect they deserve. It took a while, but nonetheless, it's happening now.

The AP has Texas A&M at No. 19 to start the 2025 season, but other outlets like Brett McMurphy and Pro Football Focus think the Aggies are being underestimated. Of course, the Ags have to prove what they're worth. After a raw start to Marcel Reed's college career, it's understood why the AP have the Aggies barely hovering within the first 25.

PFF has the Aggies in elite company, and it's another media outlet giving the Aggies some love while they continue to play second fiddle to the AP.

The AP Poll has been criticized at times for not being significant enough anymore. With the College Football Playoff polls eventually taking over the standings in the middle of the season, fans have argued that the AP isn't relevant anymore.

The hype around the Aggies is real, and all they have to do is put their offense on display for the rest of the SEC to fear. With the RB room combined with the additions of Mario Craver and KC Concepcion, this Aggies offense should be in much better shape.

PFF has been on record giving shoutouts to Trey Zuhn III and Ar'maj Reed-Adams during the summer, and they'll be significant to the Aggies' run game. The biggest question will probably be who can help fill the giant shoes of Shemar Stewart, Shemar Turner and Nic Scourton.

We're not too surprised that every other media outlet has the Aggies up higher, and that the AP probably needs to go sooner than later.
