Texas A&M football has gone from worst to first offensive line in the conference after hiring Adam Cushing

Texas A&M football has had more than their fair share of troubles along the offensive line since the banner year they had in 2020. Since those halcyon days, things—more often than not—have been nothing but trouble up front for the Aggies.

This season has seen a profound turnaround in that regard. Though it took the Aggies a little bit to get things up and running, the offensive line play has actually been a point of strength for the Aggies rather than one of weakness.

This has been the reason for a lot of the success that the Aggies have had thus far this year. The rush game that A&M has been able to put together under Cushing and Klein's tutelage is the best all-around in the conference (though they now face their greatest obstacle in attempting to overcome the loss of Le'Veon Moss).

The numbers reflect just how good the offensive front has been for the Aggies this season.

These numbers are further explained in the rest of the tweet, but you can see how elite the Aggies are compared to the competition. Havoc Rate Allowed is the biggest number, as that has to do with the chaos that opposing defenses are able to create against your offense.

It should be mentioned that this line has been able to achieve these marks after losing a stalwart up front to the draft, a three-year starter to the portal, your original starter at C to injury, and—most recently—your best player on the line missing extended time.

Texas A&M is not the top-ranked team in every one of these statistics, but they are in the top quarter in pretty much all of them. Given where the Aggies were just one year ago, better than I think pretty much any of us expected.
