Texas A&M keeps stringing wins together against top teams after taking series from rival LSU
Texas A&M's bats are back in a slump, but this team is still pulling out huge wins. The Aggies were locked in a pitchers' duel in game one of their home series against the LSU Tigers, whose ace is as good as anyone in the country, but just like last year when Arkansas brought in Hagen Smith on a Friday night, the Aggies held on for a win.
This came despite a lack of production at the plate. The Aggies were not exactly lighting it up on offense, which was somewhat expected given the level of pitching they were facing, but it's still somewhat amazing— and a testament to the Aggies' own pitching staff— that they were able to win two out of three with that kind of production.
Game two was more of the same, but it just broke in a different direction. The Aggies were tied with the Tigers late, but it was LSU who made the plays in that one.
This led to a Sunday rubber match which was highly anticipated by Aggie fans. With the way the season has gone thus far, A&M really needed this series win for their postseason chances. Down late against the Tigers and with two outs on the board in the bottom of the 8th, Caden Sorrell came up to the plate— and Olsen Magic came into play.

From there, all A&M needed was three more outs. With Weston Moss back in action after missing last weekend's series with an illness, the Ags were able to get just that.

The fire you see from Moss there really embodies what this team has been all about over this past stretch. When the turning point hit against Tennessee, this team all of a sudden seemed much more together and energized, and he's been a huge part of that.
If the lineup can start hitting like they have the potential to do, there's really no team in the sport that can match them. That's a big if, but there's still plenty of time to pull things togetyher
