Shone: Marcel Reed

Reed is well deserving of a stud compared to last week's performance.

Just like I pointed out in last week's list, it was disappointing even having to put Reed on that list in a blowout victory. No one really deserved it, the only reason he was on the list was because we needed to see more production for the amount of time that he played.

He answered the bell this week.

Reed threw for 178 passing yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. On the ground, he rushed 13 times for 83 yards.

Reed was responsible for 261 total yards on the day. His teammates credited his play saying that he was deserving of this moment. He was gearing up since the Texas Bowl and looked very prepared to take this moment.

Maybe he gives the coaching staff a head scratcher moving forward by giving the team an expanded playbook with Reed being able to keep the ball on the ground compared to Weigman.
