Biggest matchup problems for Texas A&M football in 2024: Dylan Stewart, DE, South Carolina

I doubt many of you clicked on this article thinking there would be two Gamecocks on this list, but believe it or not, Shane Beamer has brought a couple of downright athletic marvels into the fold down in Columbia. Stewart, a five-star in this previous cycle, is a defensive end out of the DC area who came down to the Gamecocks and Ohio State, and Beamer did a great job outlasting the Buckeyes.

At 6'5" and 245, Stewart has a prototypical edge rusher build, and was a destructive force up front in high school. He's already looking like he will make a big impact up front for the Gamecocks.

Top to bottom, this South Carolina team is still not one of the most talented in the conference, but they are adding playmakers every year through the high school ranks. Stewart has the potential to be a huge problem up front for a retooling Aggie offensive line.

His name may not be the most well-known at the moment, but I feel confident that this will be a big year for Stewart. He should get the starting nod right away, and the Gamecocks' schedule should give him plenty of opportunity to make plays against premier opponents.
