National outlets predicting Texas A&M football to flip Missouri's top recruit after Aggies' dominant win over Tigers

Texas A&M football's win over the Missouri Tigers was one of the most dominant performances we've seen out of an Aggie team in quite some time. A 24-0 lead at half turned into a 41-10 blowout where Missouri could never get anything going, and the Aggies couldn't be stopped.

Even though this was a noon game—and one that eventually got a bit overshadowed by some of the other massive upsets throughout the day—it was still extremely consequential for the Aggies' momentum. That's true not only for this season, but going forward.

It just so happens that the highest-rated recruit right now for the Missouri Tigers is a longtime target of the Aggies: OT Lamont Rogers of Mesquite Horn, a top-50 player who has flirted with five-star status throughout his recruitment. It also just so happens that the Aggies were another one of his top schools.

Simply by chance, I'm sure, Rogers happened to be making a visit to College Station for this game as a guest of the Aggies. Apparently, this result gave him quite a lot to think about, as Steve Wiltfong of On3 has registered a prediction for the Aggies to flip this highly-rated tackle.

This would be massive for the Aggies in several ways. Rogers would cap off a big time class along the offensive line for A&M, who already hold five commitments from the position group. He's the type of guy who can anchor a line for three years before making the jump to the NFL, and I'm sure he has to be loving what he's seeing out of this much-improved Adam Cushing-coached offensive line.

While this is only a prediction and not a sure thing, this is a sign of some extremely positive momentum for the Aggies. Here's hoping they can close the deal here soon.
