Fans react to Texas A&M basketball HUGE SHOT by Andersson Garcia that brings on overtime

The building just exploded for Texas A&M basketball. Andersson Garcia just hit the shot of a lifetime to send the Aggies and Cougars to overtime.

With time winding down on the clock, the Aggies were running around, trying to get the ball inbounded. Most in the building thought the ball was going to Wade Taylor or Tyrece Radford, the most prolific three-point shooters on the Aggies' squad.

Of course, among that number watching for such a move were the Houston Cougar defenders, who were blanketing both of those players. It was nigh impossible for the Aggies to get the ball in to either of their guards.

In that situation, they were forced to give the ball to a different player. That player was Andersson Garcia.

Garcia doesn't shoot many threes. He's about 35% on a little under one attempt per game. He's mostly known for his defense and rebounding. But now, for the biggest shot of his career, he had to pull.

And the world turned upside-down.

This was clearly the game that had the eye of the entire nation, as people from all across the spectrum of different fanbases were making note of what happened.

Greg Sankey, reviled by Aggies yet eloquent as always, captured this moment perfectly with his trademark succinctness:

One of the foremost Aggies in professional basketball, and a guy who knows a thing or two about insane comebacks in March Madness, was watching as well.

Aggie fans kept the vibe going, but overtime was unkind to the Maroon and White. They ended up falling by five points, but I can guarantee you that Garcia, along with the rest of that team, will remember that shot for the rest of their lives. What a moment.
