Texas A&M football roster predictions - UTIL: Terry Bussey

This one is kind of cheap, but I wasn’t quite sure where to list Bussey. I have come around more and more to the idea that he will factor in for the Aggies on offense, even though he started out as a corner, but with Klein’s creativity, he could end up at either receiver or running back.

Bussey’s potential for creating big plays is simply too good to not be leveraged by this team. At Timpson High School, he was all over the place: whether quarterback, running back, receiver, corner, punt returner, you name it. That’s the kind of versatility he offers the Aggies now that he’s on campus.

I could see Bussey making a big impact game one from either the receiver or the running back spot. Given his size, I’m not sure the Ags would want him running between the tackles too much, but a few handoffs could be in order. Receiving out of the backfield would obviously be in his tool chest as well.

As he continues to acclimate to the collegiate level, I think we see him continue to make a greater and greater impact on this team offensively. Whether that manifests in a switch to a full-time role at one of these other positions, I don’t yet know, but I think we will hear his name called a lot this fall.
